Australian shopping centre giant Westfield has agreed to be bought out by a European company for more than 32 billion dollars. The new owner, Unibail Rodamco, is the largest shopping centre company in Europe. Westfield co-CEO Steven Lowy says the companies combined portfolios will be worth more than 95 billion Australian dollars.
Labor senator Sam Dastyari says he will not return to the senate next year after sustained pressure to resign over his links to China. The Turnbull government claims the senator has only quit because he was causing political damage.
Americans will return to the moon after a directive from president Donald Trump ordering NASA to establish a base there. Mr Trump says the project will enable America to reclaim its proud destiny in space.
